Welcome to Glenview Elementary School!
Home of the Bulldogs!

Glenview is located in the city of Anaheim. We have an enrollment of 575 students in Kindergarten through grade 6. There are 21 regular education classrooms. Approximately 13% of our students are English Language Learners and 7% of our students receive special education services. All students are provided a comprehensive curriculum which includes reading, language arts, mathematics, history/social science, science, visual and performing arts, physical education and health. A computer lab provides weekly instruction to all students in word processing, excel, multi-media, internet usage, power point and keyboarding. Students in grades 5 and 6 also have an opportunity to participate in our instrumental music program. All students participate in a weekly reading intervention program called Response to Intervention. Students reading at or above grade level receive extended activities and students reading below grade level receive extra instruction to get them on grade level.

A total of 54 staff members are employed at the school. Staff members include 1 principal, 22 classroom teachers, 1 resource specialist, 1 speech therapist, 2 music teachers, 1 library media clerk, 1 school secretary, 1 office clerk, 10 noon duty supervisors, 2 custodians and 1 health clerk two days per week. Before and after school child care is available.

Glenview parent and community members support our student’s on a daily basis through volunteering in the classroom, participating in activities sponsored by the PTA, and membership in the School Site Council and English Learners Advisory Committee. We have an active PTA which sponsors our field trips, annual carnival, jog-a-thon, monthly assemblies, school web page and other activities throughout the school year.

Glenview’s staff exemplifies leadership. Staff meets weekly in grade level teams to plan curriculum and review student needs. Cross grade level planning is consistently done to ensure students are ready for the next grade level. We have a strong Student Study Team which ensures all students are monitored who are identified as needing additional academic support. The result of this hard work is high student success as shown on our annual state API, district assessments and annual writing results.
