Glenview Elementary School

The students and staff at Glenview are lucky to have a very active PTA which supports many programs and student activities that we would not be able to provide if not for this association. Our PTA has 13 very active parents who make up the board. They along with a teacher representative and the principal meet once a month to plan and organize activities for the upcoming months.

Our PTA provides student programs throughout the school year. Programs include student assemblies and field trips. Student assemblies are provided monthly. This year we have had the Imagination Machine, Science on the Go, Water District and Safari Joe. Future assemblies include Science on the Go and Commander Chuck Street. In addition to our assemblies the PTA provides each class with a field trip. Field trips have included Centennial Farms, Oak Canyon Nature Center, Discovery Science Center, Centennial Heritage Museum, and Orange County Performing Arts Center. Many more are planned for the rest of this year.

The PTA provides annual events which include Red Ribbon Week activities, the Spring Carnival, the Variety Show, Jog-A-Thon, Movie Nights and monthly Family Nights at various restaurants. In addition to these events our PTA supports our library with the fall and spring student Book Fair and the Friends of the Library donation program.

Our PTA also funds our school Web Site, newsletter and staff appreciation lunches. As if all this wasn’t enough they also provide classroom supplies, parent volunteer support and supply money for each of our classrooms.

All of these wonderful things would not be possible without the great support that our community gives to our outstanding PTA. Every fall and spring PTA also conducts a fundraiser which is always a great success along with our annual membership drive and donations.
